I promised to share some pictures of my pen storage solution - here they are! I’m very happy with it - it folds back down to a very small box, but opens up in a rather spectacular way to show off the whole collection - side on it puts me in mind of a pilot’s wings, which is pleasing to me for some reason…
The double layers work quite well, particularly the fact that the top drawer’s top layer can sit in the top of the lid when folded out.1
At some point I will do an annotated picture with a description of the pens if anyone is interested.
1 The great advantage of this set up is the ability to hide pens that arrive, and casually bring them out later on when no parcel is in evidence, “This? Oh no, I’ve had this one for ages!" ↩
